Mustaqbill Future Foundation celebrates Magna Carta with relays in Slough
June 15th 2015 marks the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta by King John. This event commemorates the principles that no one is above the law and to no one will justice be denied, delayed or sold.
Mustaqbill Future Foundation along with SCVS, Apna Virsa and different faith organisations are arranging events to celebrate Magna Carta and its enduring legacy. The events will be relevant to all the communities of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
Slough is intending to celebrate Magna Carta on 8th June with a relay to key sites around the Borough, carrying a copy of the charter and Commonwealth flags.
There will be pre-events linking community issues with the principles in the “Great Charter”.
The Mustaqbill Future Foundation would like to thank the Magna Carta Trust’s 800th Anniversary Commemoration Committee for recognising their work and awarding a grant to support these activities.
